Here at the WFPD, we have three officers, twenty-four firefighters, five junior firefighters, and one social media director.
Our chief is Rob Lane.
Our assistant chief is Tim Freeman.
Our captain is Terry Marshall, Jr.
Our social media director is Samantha Henley.
Beyond these positions, we have a number of privacy concerns to consider before we can release any information about our volunteer firefighters. Most have other jobs and prefer not to have their faces put out on the internet, some have concerns about the safety of themselves and their families, and there are still others whose concerns are also a private matter.
While we would love to put the names and faces out for all of our wonderful volunteers, especially to dissuade any “fake firemen” from taking advantage of situations and people, we must take into account a myriad of issues before we can move forward.
Our tentative plan is to put the names, faces, and badge numbers of those who are willing to allow it out there on our Roster page and use an anonymous gray picture and “Name Withheld” for those who wish to remain out of the public eye.
We believe this will strike a good balance for those within our department and the public!
