We’re starting the new year off right!
We had a few new interested volunteers who came to our first meeting of 2019! Because of the number of stations Warsaw Fire Protection District has, we are always looking for people who are interested in helping their local area! This eases the load on our existing volunteers, especially when a group of them responded to over 100 fires in 2018!
We had some of our veteran firefighters and junior firefighters at the meeting tonight, also! Matt instructed them on new rapid hose releases and Clevelands (a way fire hoses are laid out to make them easier to deploy and fill quickly when they are needed).
WFPD has a new truck on the way! It’s a 2019 Freightliner Pumper/Tanker with a 2000 gallon tank and a 1250 GPM pump! Rob and Tim will be going to Minnesota to pick it up! Watch for an update in a future blog post!
