We had a busy second meeting and training in April which included some special guests, some SCBA/exertion training, and some pump training! The WFPD Roster has also been posted. As the site grows, we will begin adding pictures of our great volunteer firefighters to the roster page.
The Tightwad Fire Department participated in some SCBA/exertion training with some of our firefighters and junior firefighters. Thank you to Nick Smith, Candy Smith, Jerry Dick, and Jeremy Smith for joining us! We had a blast and you’re welcome to come train with us anytime!
At the same time as the SCBA/exertion training at the station occurred, the majority of our firefighters took four of our trucks out for some pump training. They brushed up on their skills for operating the trucks, set up and breakdown of the practice area, and we had some new volunteers who felt the full force of the hoses!
We’re looking forward to our next meeting/training!
*Sam has finished personalizing the Helicopter Landing Zone certificates. We will hand those out at the next meeting!
