In response to the Pinnacle Propane incident, an After Action Meeting took place at Benton County Central Dispatch. In attendance were representatives from Benton County Emergency Management, Central Dispatch, Sheriff’s Department, Warsaw Police Department, Warsaw Fire Protection District, and the Mayor of Warsaw.
Concerns discussed included the safety of the residents and evacuation procedures, safety of the first responders, utilizing RAVE for evacuation messages, and working with companies in the area, like Pinnacle and Zollickers, to make sure we understand and can learn from their safety protocols.
One of the things we would ask from our residents is if we come to your door to ask you to evacuate for your safety in incidents like this, please help us by being civil to our first responders and cooperative in evacuating until the danger is over.
