Anytime I can manage to jump in and make updates to the WFPD website right now, I am working as hard and as quickly as possible!
Some of you will notice the overall look of the site has not changed. Mainly, this is because I am fond of the black website and it is currently the only one I run which can be a dark layout and still represent! I think it works well with fire and thus the fire department! I have changed up the header images to a fantastic photo of an actual fire as opposed to last year’s computer generated orange and blue smoke look (see below).

You’ll notice the menu for the site has changed as well. You will now find the Cadets and Juniors page and the WFPD Board page under the Roster heading. You will find the following under the Resources heading: Testing and Training, Fire Safety Tips, Links, Other Depts. Meetings, and (our newest page) PDFs.
Our Calendar page has been updated with this year’s WFPD Board Meeting dates and our monthly meeting/training dates. I also have Facebook launching reminders about our monthly meetings. Shortly, I will set up the meetings in event form on FB so you can be reminded that way also. As I become aware of more upcoming special training or event dates, they will be added to the calendar.
Our Station Locations page is next up for a 2021 overhaul and I hope to address the MANY questions we have fielded over the past two years about how our district is laid out, what our response time is, and more. It will take me a bit to get all of that info up, so stay tuned for the announcement when that is complete.
